Hello gun nutz out there,
I'm trying to find out what kind of holster this is. I was thinking possibly a revolver of some sort but not sure because its kind of a weird shape. Does anyone know if it's for something specific or just a generic holster. Heck it may not even be a for a firearm I have no idea.

Anyone seen something like this in their travels? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Sorry the pictures are not the best

I'm going to say a Revolver with at least a 6" barrel. I don't recognize the make. The fact that there is a slit along the one side tells me that it may be more "universal" then for a specific brand. My $.02 - hope it helps.

I would say a ruger single six or maybe a k frame smith with a 8 inch barrel
the ruger made 6 in and 9 in barrels , same with the black hawk, but I am thinking small frame
Open top , maybe for a scope mounted gun, I use to have a scope on a long barreled H&R 22 revolver, and a Python, thou that is not a python holster.

Now that I think about , maybe Browning Buck Mark, some came with scope mounts, and different barrel lengths.

+ 1 on the scope cut out. had a leather holster looked the same that came in a mix box of parts and the guy had a ruger with a scope on it.

I expect it is for a large frame, large caliber hunting revolver e.g. BFR .500 S&W Magnum with 7.5" barrel. The slit might be to accommodate a scope.

Thank you all for your responses, I was wondering why there was a weird cut out on it but a scope makes sense, thanks

Yeah I had a couple universal holsters that I cut the top out of it to use with guns with reddots. Could be also for the Ruger MK1/2series. I don't think it would be for the buckmark. Its def something from the 90s.

I think you may be in error there, while the Single-Six was made with a 9.5" barrel, the Blackhawk never was (I'm pretty sure that the longest Blackhawk made OEM was the very common 7.5"), though the Super Blackhawk was made with a 10.5" barrel for the silhouette game for awhile...
