So I'm getting away from reloading shot shells (lead is an over priced B with an itch), and am going to start reloading pistol and rifle. Need something to keep my hands busy in the winter. I guess the gf doesn't like me grabbing the goodies every time she walks past... Even in front of guest (never heard them complain).

So I pick up my press and dies next week.

Looking for the following powders

8lb Varget (223 and 308win)
8lb H110 (357mag and 300BLK)
8lb HS6 (38super, 9mm and 45ACP)

Primers

Where is a readily available source? Given the above I need a little bit of everything.

Projectiles

.224 cal Barnes TSX 55gr
.224 cal any suggestions for cheap plinking?
.30 cal Speer TNT 125gr
.30 cal Barnes TTSX 168gr (Nosler partitions are a very close second)
.357 Hornady XTP 125gr
.355/56 Hornady XTP 115gr
.451 FMJ 230gr
.451 Barnes TAC XP 160gr (haven't seen them on shelve before but have been told they can be found)

I know I'm asking a lot but every "big" store I call doesn't have it and won't order it for me. And small shops, well unless you know everything about reloading the customer service sucks (had 2 bad experiences). I'm hoping there is a shop out there that can help a hobby shooter like me out.

Thank you for the help in advance.

welcome to the waiting game

bullets arent hard to find... small pistol primers are none existant..idont have problems finding anyother primer... powder is scarce around here

canam has those dominon brand primers in now (russian made?)

Canada Ammo has a pretty decent deal for the Dominion primers. You can order cases of 5000 for a bit of a discount compared to boxes of 1000. They're not going to expire any time soon, and they're going for about half the price of anything else I have seen, so you might as well buy them cheap and stack them deep.
Canada Ammo also has free shipping on orders over $200, so if you were to order any two cases of 5000 it would qualify, and likely last you for a good long while.

Really the only decent deal for non-local powder I have seen is Higginson's. They offer free shipping on orders of more than 21 pounds of powder. If they have what you want in stock, a group buy can save you quite a bit of money.

Welcome to reloading. Great way to help pass the long winter days! I got some Varget and H4895 from Hercules10 (fellow CGNer) when I needed some in a hurry. His prices were what most sponsors were selling for. Dunno if he still has any but if you can't find any, send him a PM.

for powders be flexable. hard to find what you need. for example instead of varget you could try ram tac or cfc223. some powders are easier to find and still work well. check your reloading manuels for possible substitutions. when you find it buy lots.
