Well another project is complete. I put together this compact Grizzly build for wilderness carry. When fully collapsed, I can drop it into the gun compartment of my Eberlestock X3 LoDrag and it completely disappears. It's the little sister to my mossberg 500.

Grizzly 12.5"
NEA 870 stock & grip adapter
CTR stock w/ pad removed
Hogue grip
MOE forend
Mesa tactical side saddle
no-jam follower

She measures in at 29" fully collapsed! (Mossberg measures just below 36" fully collapsed)

I have a Eberlestock X3 as well but I prefer to carry my rifles without the lower scabbard extended ie XCR-L with FAST stock folded.

I've been thnking about buying one of these NEA adapters for my 870 with a Dlask 14" barrel I already have a Magpul CTR stock that I can use.

Which brings me to -> how much of the stock is exposed when you slip this shotgun into the X3 with the scabbard folded in?

This much:

Just the buttstock. This makes for an easy removal when the backpack is still on your back. It can be drawn out of the scabbard easily.
