Times to hunt.. Yotes...

Having a huge pack of them coming around at 10PM every night, infact, right at the end of our back lawn.. I think they're after the rabbits in the neighbours trees..
Anyway, Can I shoot these at night, or do they have to be around in the daylight?
 
"...Can I shoot these at night..." No. Hunting is only allowed from 1/2 hour before sun rise to 1/2 hour after sunset. That'd be a particular local time too. And rabbits don't live in trees.
 
Actually.. You can shoot them at night if they are creating damage to your property. It's not "hunting" though, it is dispatching nuisance wildlife.
Killing rabbits does not constitute a firearm at night, nor does the fact that they are close to your home.
If they are there at 10, you can easily call them at 9, when it is legal light, then it can be done as a sport.

I faintly remember the half hour before half hour after.. Thanks for clearing it up.
 
if the dogs are having good hunting in that area there gona wana hold on to it.

later like said around 9 give a greeting / locator howl. just one or 2. If they reply, perfect. let off a challenge or 2 and and I bet they will come right in.
 
I had a few coming up to my house and growling at my dogs thru the windows. They'd come up right on the porch at night. There's 3 holes in the screen door and was 2 dead yotes on on the porch and one beside my truck. Kill them before they become a problem

We haven't had them come up that close, we have a back sliding door, and they've been maybe.. 10 feet from that. They're fairly large, too.
 
Coyotes aren't all that big. Even tho they may look it a 22mag at close range is all you need. Just tell your neighbour your intentions before you open fire. Or get a couple big dogs and let em loose
