I'm building my shortlist of NR semi-auto .223s. B&T APC223 is at the top. Is there any firm talk on additions to the FRT Prohibited list? Like a few here I am holding off on a purchase. Also have a deposit on a NR Bren 2.

Everyone here has been a huge help - appreciate the guidence!

The other thing too is just because it's on the Polys list isn't necessarily a guarantee that the government will ban it. There is one particular model that has always been on the Polys list and has not been banned yet and I personally doubt it will be. Also remember that if / when PP takes the helm of the CPC, there is a very strong likelihood that the Liberals won't survive another election. Once the government changes (which history tells us it will eventually, and I think sooner rather than later), the Polys voice will be rendered moot and irrelevant.

Don't get the fear of what may happen dictate what you do. I would love to be in a financial position to be able to afford an APC223...but I have quite enjoyed target shooting with the vast majority of my NR firearms which are on the Polys hit list...I have bought the vast majority of them knowing they are on the hitlist, but ain't gonna live life with a "what if the government does this?" attitude. Enjoy the freedoms while you have it...

Seems like a non worry to me they are going to ban them all if you don’t wanna “loose 5k” then don’t bother

Timley mention @Ustauk. I like the looks of these and (the little) I have read. I sent off some questions to the Crusader folks just last night. Cheers!

If you want something locally built at a less expensive price point , inspired in looks by the APC and built to address problems of previous 180 based designs, you may want to consider the Crusader Arm Templar, https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2305750-The-Templar-Thread-5-56-by-Crusader-Arms-Spectrum-LTD.

Don't overlook the R18 in your options analysis. It is also considerably less expensive than the APC 223, at $2700.

Agreed, another nice option; I should have mentioned it as more AR the APC appearance emulating option.
