Has anyone tried to do this? i just went ahead and bought the trigger assembly and realized it looks like there must be some modification to do. Now that i took a good look, the back side seat gap on the Timney seems to be a bit smaller and when i installed in on the reciever it would not seat in the stock properly. To me it looks like the Timney needs to have a bit shaved off to fit. Any feedback appreciated. In the photo the Timney is on the left. Thanks

I have one installed on my SR22 plastic trigger housing, went in with no problems.

Follow the instructions that are included and you won't have any either, there is no modifications needed to the trigger housing at all.

Looks can be deceiving ;)

Haha it didnt come with any instructions. You changed the Timney guts into the original housing? i was planning to change out the whole thing...i put the old one back on and it fits fine, put the new one on and no dice....

When I got my Timney it came assembled and ready to drop in.

All I did was take out the hammer, sear and associated springs and dropped the unit right in. You Do Not need to take apart the unit as shipped from the factory or whomever you bought it from.

Sorry, I didn't realize that Timney now made the complete Trigger housing and internals as one unit. I just checked their website and they no longer sell the older drop in unit as I have in mine.

Not much I can say or do that will help ... good luck!

You two are talking about two seperate things. Duffk21 is talking about the drop in timney trigger that comes as a complete unit with the housing and eveything and jt_trouble is talking about just the timney trigger that replaces just the guts and you use your original housing. thats where the confusion comes in.

Yes, I figured that out ... :D

I didn't know that Timney changed their line up. Which is too bad, I'd prefer the original design that they used before the complete assembly. I may have to parse around to see if I can pick up another older unit for my next build before they are no longer available.

Sorry jt trouble, I guesse we sent our reply's at roughly the same time. iIdidn't see your last one about you checking the website before I sent mine. My bad, sorry.
