Timney 10/22 trigger Would you do it again?

I have a SR-22 with a Jard trigger that has died. I would like to hear from people who have tried the Timney in their 10/22s and would you buy it again and /or recommend it?
 
I know this isn't what your asking but if you still have your stock trigger you could do it up and try that first... I filed the hammer down and got the pull to 2.5lbs and put a set screw behind the trigger so there's no take up... And my buddy has a rem700 with a Timney and loves the feel of my 10/22... Just a thought before you spend the cash on one

We have a timney trigger installed in an old ruger 77 mkII all-weather zytel stock stainless in 300 win mag.
It is infinitely superior to the creepy 8 pound pull fence post that came installed in the gun.
Breaks cleanly and crisply at 2 pounds.
We're putting a timney in our 10/22.
 
I can't get enough of the Timney that I put in my 10/22. Absolutely perfect, no complaints, would definitely put it in another build. I do prefer my Timney to my friend's KIDD.
 
I've seen them advertised on the al flaherty (cgn sponsor) website.
Ruger makes a custom 10/22 trigger as does volquartsen but I'd go with timney.
 
I would most definitely recommend a timney trigger. I have another 10 22 with a reworked trigger but like the timney much better.I have the complete drop in unit I assume that is what you are asking about.
 
ive got pretty much one of every 10/22 trigger out there that is worth talking about and id vote yes to the Timney Trigger.
ive got no complaints about mine, nice little trigger.

not sure what they cost now, they may be within striking range of a Kidd level 1.

id feel safe in saying that Timney is probably the most widely used 10/22 Trigger over the last 20 years.
but Kidd is probably catching up fast.

Paw reworked a couple of 10/22 triggers.
Got them down to a tad less than 3 pounds but found them a bit creepy and he hates creep in his triggers.
His first after market 10/22 trigger install was a volquartsen.
It had a lot crisper let off.
Messing with triggers especially on a semi is not kids stuff to be taken lightly.
You gotta know what you're doing.

I had one done by a member on here, nothing wrong with it but I like the timney better
 
rosebute It is the 1 & 1/2 lb model. Worked pretty good for a few years but always was "finicky" right from the start. Not consistent and would not maintain it`s setting. I know, I know, clean it with lighter fluid, do not over lube, run dry, use a little lock tite or finger nail polish to set the adjustment screws. done it all, nothing worked. Had to tinker with it periodically, mainly with the disconnector and reset, but was nice when it did run. A while back the disconnecter spring broke in half and it is a bit of a unique spring. I have tried every spring I have and/or can find to no avail. Have contacted Jard and customer service does not seem to interest them much. I have (and have had) Timney triggers in various other rifles and found them much easier to set up properly and none of them were high maintenance like the Jard, and have never had any issues with any of them so I am contemplating a Timney for the SR-22.

We've tried expensive triggers like jewell triggers in various rifles over the years but always went back to timney.
For the simple single stage triggers we like timney is the best.
We don't need firing a gun to be a multi step process.
KISS principle applies - Keep It Simple Stupid
Though the savage accutrigger (2 stage) is quite acceptable.
