Anyone out there have one? If so, is it worth it? I'm not loving the stock trigger on my AR. I know I can polish it up and such, but the idea of a drop-in trigger is very appealing... especially with such a nice light pull.

Thoughts>?

Also consider a Rock River Arms 2 stage match trigger. It's reasonably priced (edit $159) and effective. I bought mine from Questar.

It's pretty easy to install a component based match grade trigger. There are likely videos on youtube if you get confused. I don't mind a 2 stage at all, and I shoot other guns with lighter single stage triggers.

Hi Smelly

I sent you a PM in case it was a no no to say where I bought mine from it from since they are not a "Forum Sponsor"

Take a look at the Geiselle ssa or ssa-e triggers. Youtube for install instructions...takes less than 10 min. Did it on my lap in front of the comp.

I know Timney makes good triggers but I recall a guy at 3gun this summer having problems with his drop in trigger...never heard of problems with Geiselle.

Alberta Tactical Rifle (sponsor here I believe) has the Timney.

I've heard horror stories of fitting component-based triggers. Most go smoothly though, so I suppose the odds are in your favour if you go that way.

I by far prefer a single stage trigger for 3-gun use.

That's what I've heard. I've also heard of issues with the safety when using component based systems. I figure for the extra cash, why not just drop something in and be done with it? Not to mention, the single stage sounds much better.
The only thing I've heard about drop-ins is that if a primer drops off the round, it can become lodged in the trigger unit and it a might pain to remove.

I agree Geiselle triggers are great.. i have the Hi-Speed National Match - Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) Trigger in my AR-15. Fantastic trigger.. The lock up time is about 1/2 that of a regular trigger.. Normal trigger.. lock up is 10 ms. lock up for a bolt action is 2.5 ms and the Geiselle Hi-speed lock up is 4.4 ms. helps improved your off hand shooting..

I just finished installing a JP E-Z trigger setup in my AR, and it rocks. I actually prefer a single stage to a 2-stage, as all my other precision rifles are singles.

Very crisp and light... I can't believe I was using the stocker for so long! Should have done this years ago!!!!
