I was thinking of buying one of these for my rifle and was wondering what others think of them, good and bad?

I would rate them OK but not great. Jewel triggers I would rate as much better. The Jewel can be set to function safely at very low pull, I have had Timneys that could not be set to low pull and not occasionally either follow or misfire.
Also the tactical has a very weird trigger feel being a skinny little peg that sticks down being what you finger touchs.
For the small difference in price I would go with a Jewel.
My .02 anyway.

I have yet to hear anything negative about this unit and Timney makes excellent triggers.

From 4oz to 10oz, provides a very light trigger pull. There is no provisions for a safety.

Because competition BR shooters like 2oz, the timney is considered 'heavy'. Not at all. I find anything under 4oz very difficult to use in the field. Most of mine are set around 6 to 8oz.

The trigger is adjustable for location which can be handy.

PM sent.

I have a wildcat 7mm rig with a Timneys tactical.

I'm not a big fan of the 4 oz triggers for anything except bench rest since they are too sensitive. Plus there's no safety with the timneys trigger. Or bolt release I might add. I have my Timneys set to 1 pound. It's very smooth and crisp. It suites this rifle well.

I hear Jewell triggers are excellent. Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of shooting one.

Epoxy7, triggers under 6oz are definitely an acquired taste. For many, it will be way to light and shooting accurately gets more difficult cause you are too spooked by the trigger.

However, with time, you might find the lighter trigger to your liking.

At 1lb, both Timney and Jewell are very nice. But then so are the Shilens and Rifle Basix and CG's and....

GB, PM coming at you.

Mysticplayer, I have to agree with that :D.
The set trigger on my CZ-527 Kevlar is set in the low Oz. You think breath on it and it goes off. I find it too light and actually prefer the regular trigger. But I'm sure I'll warm up to it in time.

I do have a shilen trigger on my XR-100. It's a decent trigger. But again at varmint/target settings.
