Just wondering if anyone has or is using a timney trigger for fclass shooting? I see they have some left hand ones you can get at 1.5 lbs, would that be light enough do you think? Right now I am just using the X-Mark pro trigger that came with the rifle.

There are a few Timneys that I can offer you. One is the tactical which goes down to around 8 ozs but has no safety - not needed for F class.

the Reg Timney is rated at 1.5lbs. Some can go lighter but.....

Overall, if you have to heave on your trigger to get it to go bang, that is not helping your scores.

Stocks/rests, triggers, Scopes and Barrels are what make you competitive.

Most Fr's that I know like to have a very light pull (1lb on the high side down to a mere 1.5oz) and for this the Jewell absolutely shines. I think the BR model can be had for $275 and although it seems a bit steep, you'll only ever buy it once.

That is, of course, until you want them for all your other rifles.

I have 3 of them on my F rigs and the only thing that has come close to the Jewell is the Barnard trigger that comes supplied with their actions.

Agreed. I have a few Jewells, all are the 1.5 oz BR triggers. With those types of triggers, your release is more mental than physical. They are as good as it gets in my opinion,. although i have to admit that I have used a trigger shoe on heavier triggers and found that to be a nice compromise with the heavier triggers.

I have an X-Mark on my varmint gun in 204 and I have absolutely no complaints with it. It is a perfectly good trigger for its pull weight.
