Looking at a 1-8 twist 16" Hbar set up and was wondering if I should get the 3 lbs single stage Timney trigger or the 4 lbs one. I do want a light crisp trigger(3 lbs) but dont want to bump fire it when doing the 3-gun stuff. Any worries or am I over thinking this. Anyone running a short precision upper with the Timney trigger installed? Going to have a 2.5-16x44 6500 Bushnell scope with a small dot sight(T-1 or H-1) on the side. Any ideas would be great.

Will be used for 3-gun stuff and the rest(65%) will be paper precision at <500 yards;)

God knows I need one....my trigger measures somewhere around 12 lbs....terrible.

Whats the cost of these trigger groups?

Mystic has it listed at $240, and its a drop in unit without a need for a smith;)
He had a Jewell one avalible too if you want to get fancy!

Werewolf- How much of a problem is it with yours at 4#? The .308 will be a whole different item from .223. Is it a rare thing to get a bump or something that you have to watch out for?

I'm sure it was more me, than the trigger. I've had this unit installed since around a week after I bought the gun, which is awhile ago. So far two bumps and like I said I'm sure I wasn't keeping a firm grip. Conversely, my kid has an M15A4 with a 3# trigger and never a problem. Oh yes, now that I think about it I did install the Ar15 trigger in the R25 as per what I'd read in some DPMS literature. That all being said I don't think it's anything to worry about. As far as the accuracy part goes, the trigger install made an already accurate rifle much more consistant.
