I bought my very first timney trigger a few months back( i previously only bought Jewel). I recently installed it and noticed the bolt was binding. Upon further inspection I noticed the sear of the timney is too thick and therefore putting too much upward pressure on the bolt. I called Timney and they acknowledged this was not an uncommon problem with their triggers. They're recommended fix is for me to file the sear myself. I shouldn't have to do this and I am not sure I know how much to take off. It would have to be trial and error by taking a little off reinstalling and trying again and again until I get it right and hopefully not too much or I will need a new sear.
In my opnion Timney should have offered to exchange the trigger. A customer shouldn't have to file a sear on a trigger.
