Certainly not the cheapest option, SN100C bar solder for electronics assembly is almost pure tin. Western Metals carries it. Also if you can still find any, 50/50 plumbing solder is also good.

Lead free solder in the plumbing stores are $35-$40 per lb now days....
Old pewter is nearly pure tin and is great for casting. Can often be brought for peanuts in garage sales and junk shops. Be careful that it is pewter and not some more modern Indian concoction thou-you should be able to leave a fingernail impression in decent old pewter.
