Tinkering about upgrading my YH compressor

First I must say I am a large volume shooter and I use lot of air.
So far about 65 hours total running time on my YH filling regularly two LARGE 14 liter scba's (these are probably the biggest fireman tanks?) and have a third 9 liter for "case of emergency".
I have rebuilt the YH couple times pretty much 3-4 hours of elbow greasing and back in the game.
Tinkering maybe to get a larger compressor, and put this YH on spare spot.
My view is (after monitoring some PCP compressor threads for a year or so) ... no matter how much $ to spend there is no idiotproof compressor on the horizon below two grand, and that is a question mark again for longevity.
Those battery powered toys with no oil and no cooling - don't even try to tell me your story, please.
I am well aware of that 3-4 times the cost over YH doesn't really mean that is 3-4 times better or a life expectancy is guaranteed... I can take Tuxing for example.
Do we have known reviews from credible sources that such and such a Brand statistics shows more reliable ???

Edit: I just look at some kijiji ads for scuba compressors .... shocking what people trying to sell for gold.
 
quit buying overseas crap on everything you do

if you cannot afford it then take up tiddly winks

most of what you do is complain

you always look for advice then take the cheap way out then complain
or buy things from overseas and complain we can’t get stuff in canada

Unfortunately it isn't cheap. You need to have the fab skills, tools and then trying to reduce the speed, so you don't burn out the pump. Sadly you be at the cost of a YH compressor. Then it be another thread about building it, and then poof goes another route. Like most of his threads.. Going on about 22LR rail gun, but not accurate enough for him, or how a club should build him a Airgun range. Buts yes the OP is a wet blanket. Has 3-4K Airgun, but complains about well known compressors, that is known to fail. Or 40$ on shipping on a large pellet order.

Mind you telling me what to buy instead that is not an overseas made crap?
Not to initiate a drama with you, just asking...since you have all that attitude.

And yes, the two of my airguns cost well over $10K combined plus the optics plus the supporting equipment a next $3-4K, or something in ballpark.
For that money I could probably buy a full sheitload of firearms that is making the powder burner Boys so big & proud.
But anyway You could not help yourself but commenting a very important value to OP question.
I have not seen these attitude anywhere around a Globe but the Canada forums must be always something special...

Yes, Thanks garmic, I was reading about these (Hill, Air Ventury, Tuxing) compressors for a lill while, pretty much any of these about $2K tickets, so what to expect if I would need spare parts...to collect in my drawer in same way as I was doing for 4-5 years with YH?

This is my current setup, rebuilt that YH couple times, not really a big job replacing low/high pressure pistons, but kind of getting bored and tired of it.

The scba tank on left side is 147c and have two of these in active duty. Over summer months if the weather permits a full 300 bars gives me a convenient 7-800 shots before drops to 200 bars, I was usually refilling the two tanks both about 2-3 times a month, that is safe to say about >10K shots a year.
Tinkering now, I have two options in front of me.
Replace the YH compressor but nothing below $2K is proven enough over the YongHeng.
Or replace the tank to one (or two) that is DOT approved ($1K/ea) so I can refill in a scuba shop...
And none of these options I just mentioned here are currently available in Canada. Also where are the spare parts or service if I would ever need any...
 
I have a Rix SA6 that was under $2k used and it works for both scuba tanks and scuba tanks to fill PCP airguns. Heavier then that setup but not really any more space taken. I would not be filling a non DOT or TC approved cylinder myself though.
 
That Rix SA6 looks good, somehow in my mind the belt driven compressor block shall be quite.
If I am not mistaking the DOT is a transport regulation and not much about refilling it. But I could be wrong...
The two scba fireman tanks I was using so far have a stamp from '08 so the hydro just expired. Next time when I drive by the diving shop I will ask them for advise, I may re-hydro. The third tank is an Acecare, I know for sure that one is a CE certified.
