Tipped bullets

When dealing with the Varmint weights with the Nosler ballistic tip, Sierra Blitz King and Hornady V-max is there any difference in gore factory on gopher sized game. Or is it more pick your favorite colour of tip? I know the v-max's make them look like they swallowed a grenade but I have used my supply I bought all up and looking to tinker with a new bullet now.
