I assume since it is marketed in the States as a pistol we are ####ed? The definition of a pistol up here includes the ability to be operated with one hand... Since it needs two hands for any person to operate as it is intended, have we got a hope in hell? I have a ton of .380 and this thing does look like a fun novelty.

The mare's leg and bootleg style lever actions are "pistols" in the US and are "rifles" here. If it managed a NR FRT, it would sell like hotcakes!
The chiappa mares leg is marketed as a pistol in the US but is a rifle here.
It would depend imo largely on the size and the pistol grip on the tippmann pirate pistol. The mares leg could conceivably be shouldered.
Iirc there are some restricted short barreled pistol grip shotguns imported by canadaammo in ye olden days that were classified as pistols due to the size and pistol grip.

I believe canadammo used to provide a pistol grip with the short barreled Grizzlies. The RCMP didn't like it and chose to consider them prohib if the pistol grip was installed so he imported some as restricted, being "built" that way from factory.
Nobody is shooting or operating a pump action 12 gauge with one hand and since the gun was from factory none of it should have held water. My recollection could be wrong a little or a lot but that is what comes to mind.

The chiappa bootleg bandit (helluvah name) had the bird's head grip and was still deemed NR. There is hope!

It could potentially be listed on the FRT under Tippmann Arms, Tippmann Armory OR Tippmann Ordinance.
They are all the same business but Tippmann Ordinance is marketed as being their old timey product line.

Right, yes. I mean in the future if it gets an FRT it could conceivably be under any of those 3 names.
