Tippmann A5 M4 Clone Marker.

mmmm MP5's rock, but if it's not a real one, I don't want any part of it. The stock A5 with some go fast internals is good enough for me.
I've been trying to get my PMI III going again, but it just won't function for some reason, all the seals are good, plenty of CO2 and all that, but it just keeps going full auto, which sucks as it just shears balls then.

A stock 98 is just fine when everyone else is playing with stock guns. But if everyone else has automatics or burst fire rigs with constant pressure setup, you're SOL. :runaway:

And Automatic rigs means they are all powerfull and will beat you if you go near them ?? Seriously if they cant shoot and they need to spray everything in slight unless your playing speed ball that isnt a advantage. ;)

I've got a cheap Eagle Stingray with the stock 6" barrel (one of these days I'm going to machine myself a 18" barrel for it), a CO2 tank, a Veiwloader 200 (the non-electric type), a cheap Crossman reddot scope, and finally a "custom" touch I added a stock rifle round holder and some padding on the CO2 tank because if you ever seen a Stringray you'd know that you can actually get a cheek weld using the CO2 tank! :dancingbanana:

Now having said that I normally don't die right away and I normally manage to hit a few of the guys with a HECK of alot more money then I have in my gun (150$ tops). I shoot about 50 to 75 balls in a match using semi-automatic fire, I've seen some top off there hoppers before the game and then acouple times during the game.

Now I'm not saying I'm the best, far from it, I'm just saying that your ability to use your marker and your brains is more important then relying on a 2000$ plus marker set up and just spray paint balls everywhere.

Double stacked guns based on the Kingman (spyder) design have a problem with the hammer and sear from time to time. If your handle is just a little loose, you'll go involuntary full auto. If your problem happens all the time, the parts are probably just worn out.

Cheap guns can only get you so far. That's what I like about the Tippmanns, they're middle of the road. At least you'll be able to hit what you're aiming at if you know what you're doing. As for that short barelled stingray, you must've got the best one ever made. I use to use those things 10 years, it was like firing bananas out the end, not paintballs. :)

I know a few guys that use Stingrays as well and they arnt too bad. I have a friend that bought a bigger barrel for his Stingray and it shoots like a Tippmann actually. Its that crummy short barrel that makes them shoot like a pistol which is a problem. But I have since gotten used to its trajectory after shooting it enough. And my marker does do MOC (Minute of Chest) just fine. :)

Wow, looks like they took the external looks of the M16, MP5 and SCAR and squashed it together into a paintball gun. Yikes..

I once owned an A5. Ran really well. What I liked the most was that I could not outshoot it. Never chopped any paint. I also liked the fact that you could run HPA (Nitrogen) or C02 , whatever tank you ran, the velocity was consistent enough to hose your friends in rec ball.

Then we all switched to Autocockers....... but that's another story....

I yet to tune it or do anything with it. When I get back I'll be having some fun with it, I may upgrade the cyclone feed to make it 25-30 BPS.

Gotta love those A5, i went more simple...
double trigger, flatline barrel and Ricochet hopper are the only mods i did. it runs perfect but i don't use it as much as i planned to.
i like real "guns" better.
