Tips for buying Browning BAR MK1

Beautiful BAR you got there. I have several BARs and the only one that gave me troubles in cold weather was a MK1 type 2 with worn spring. She went at least 2000 minimum rounds before troubles began. Replaced spring and buffer and she was kicking again.

Well thank you kindly.....Pretty little Grade III isn't she.....!

I give it a decent cleaning/lubrication annually, which is simple by removing the front stock to access the mechanism, and frankly - it shoots and operates like a charm!

Take the model 70 and don’t look back. The XTR pushfeeds are a great value on the used market.

EDIT: just saw your post about buying the 70. Good call, and it looks like a dandy for 400 bucks!
