Title removed

methinks it was a typo and he meant to type 18.5" and NOT 8.5"
8.5" would be restricted in the least and maybe even prohibited.

No not a typo. See the Following thread. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156995&highlight=dlask

Shooties ? When ?

I have some saved money, I'd take one of each, Remi and Valtro clones with 8.5 barrels, when, where ?
I think you're just teasing me... :runaway:

I'll be interested in the shortest non-restricted pistol gripped model.

Depending on the mag capacity, I might prefer the box fed system.

For all practical purposes I'm really only experienced with shooting 9mm handguns and a heavy barrelled .223... how likely am I to have the barrel embedded in my face, broken fingers, etc. if I go with the 8.5" pistol gripped shotgun?

I owned an 18.5" pistol gripped shotgun (front and back) and and I can say that after a day of blasting it at the range (few hundred shells) I think I suffered some long term damage to both wrists (oddly enough my forward hand suffered more). It felt sore as I was shooting, but then ached for a good few days after... now sometimes when I open a tight jar I get a shooting pain and freeze for a few seconds and say "S*iiiiit!" then it goes away.

It's not something you want to shoot lots. But they are Friggin cool anyway ;)

I plan on putting a SpecOps Stock on my 8.5" and only shooting light stuff for fun.

yes please

Put me down for two 8.5 inchers, with ghost rings and a pistol grip if it is non restricted.

Otherwise, pistol grip butt stock is fine.
