Hey all,

Not sure if this is a pistol section question, or another section question, but since I'm running it on my pistol, seemed fitting. Admins, feel free to move it if it doesn't seem right.

Just started using a TLR-1s on my personal Glock 17. Were running some low light drills tonight and started using the light on my gun for the first time. I have had no issues before using it, but once I started firing at a target, while the light was held in momentary on, or set to on- the light would switch to strobing function. Not a huge issue, but I am sure no one likes it when their new gear doesn't work up to par. I am wondering if I should disable the strobe all together (defeating the purpose of buying a strobe enabled TLR-1) or just deal with it. I have contacted Streamlight, awaiting reply. Also could not find anything about this happening on other forums.

By the way, I realize I should have gone with Surefire, so...no need to point that out...

the tlr is a good light, no need to apologize, i am interested in hearing what they say as well because more then likely a tlr-1 is in my future since I got a holster that fits my gun with one.

I prefer streamlight to the surefire and have not had any issues. I would suggest maybe tightening the light on your rail as perhaps it is loose causing the toggle to jiggle. The other concern I would have is that depending on where you purchased it you may have a hong clone.

Got it from 911 supply in Calgary, she's legit business.

I love the light overall, and prefer the light controls over the Surefire X series, just like the mounting system on the Surefire better.

That said it's almost 100 cheaper.

In that case, take it back to 911 and see if Marg will exchange it for you. If it is a fairly recent purchase then I'm sure she will swap it out for you.

The guys there are too good to me, Id feel bad doing this to them. And I know they'd say different. Streamlight is willing to take it in, and replace it, shipping included.
