Another great Tac Rifle day at TMSA this past Sunday... wondering who else was there (besides BCShooterGuy who only beat my by 15 points this time... when I finally learn to slam mags into the Tavor, you're in trouble!
)
I was the guy with the Tavor and Vortex scope wearing the brown CGN hat with the mini camera mounted on it.
More things I learned from last competition:
1) upgrading to electronic ears and better eyewear were worth EVERY penny.
2) Mini cam makes wicked video, but must learn to aim it a bit higher and buy a 2nd one to mount on rifle.
3) putting my bottles of water under my car instead of inside my car to keep cool was a good idea. Freezing them the night before would be even better.
4) sunblock and hat for the win.
5) Takes too long to switch between 4x and 1x magnification on a scope during competition. Thinking about getting a fixed 4x and something like a Docter on top. Shot on 4x 3/4 stages and 1x on 1 stage.
6) To shoot moving targets, aim where it's going to be, activate, start shooting, let it cross the path of fire.
7) If you aren't sure if you've shot a target already, F--ING SHOOT IT AGAIN! Otherwise you lose to BCShooterGuy again.
8) Never really needed more than 30 rounds in one match, except when I lost one mag because it bounced out of a pouch while running. (LAR mag inside a stuffed TacTailor standard mag pouch) Want to try the HSGI Taco pouches next.
That's about it for now.
