Wondering if anyone else has had problems with their TNW AR upper? brand new It wouldnt eject the empty casings at all, then I bought a LMT enhanced bolt for $280.then it worked great for about 200 rounds but I still had the odd shell getting stuck in the chamber, until it suddenly again would not eject,on further inspection the extracter edge was gone!so now back to the drawing board.anyway I will call marstar tommorrow,I just hate sending it back because I know I wont see it for a long time but Im out of ideas does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?Thanks

Wow...that sucks. I've got one and did have one issue (see this thread: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=471349 post #160). However, most of the issues I had stem from the mag. I did disassemble it and straighten it out and have not had the BCG rotate and catch on the feedramps again). It has been fine since but in all fairness I've only had it out a couple more times since then (maybe 2-300 hundred rounds total). I also lube the crap out of it. It seems to like that alot better (as most AR's do).

I would suspect something with the upper if it chewed through a couple extractors. The LMT bolts and extractors are very good.

Had a similiar issue with mine. But I figured it out. The rotating pin that latches onto the round to eject it may have gone too far forward and was unable to get out (cuz it twists in and twists out). Mine fixed itself (BOOYAH)

I would guess you have a gunked up chamber.

Contrary to popular belief it's not laquer build up but rather the steel case does not seal against the chamber walls nearly as well as does brass. As a result there is considerably powder residue that "leaks past"

AK / SKS platforms have typically much more generous headspace than does a AR type platform in 7.62 . As a result the build up can flake off in chunks but never sticks the case in the chamber

Here is a pic of a case that got stuck in my chamber after 300 rds. The residue buildup was so great that it eventually spalled off in mass ! Extraction was getting sticky ( failing to lock bolt on last round ) but it kept chugging away for another 30 or so rounds before it was stuck for good. It took a good hit with a rubber mallet on charging handle to pull this out

I find that if I give the chamber a good scrub with bronze brush once in a while you are GTG

When I got the stuck case out, I ran a mop in the chamber and it came out with more flakes of gunk !

I run DPMS bolt and LMT Enhanced and both have the same issue. My upper is not a TNW but a custom built with Adam Arms piston kit
