I was in my local CT today and noticed these. Basicly an non restricted (18.75" barrel) AR looking pistol carbine in 9mm (takes Glock mags). The price was 869.00 and included some kind of cheap (I assume) 4x scope mounted on the rail.

Does anybody know anything about these? quality? performance? They look like they might be fun....

They come in through North Sylva, and look similar to other pistol caliber carbines. I haven't handled one yet, but they look fun! You can bet I'd chuck that standard plastic in a hurry.

There were rumors back in 2012 that these were on the way. Looks like they're finally here!

Marstar refused to stock them years ago due to function issues(and iirc, their lack of will to fix them). It's in their sub forum.

My buddy has one and says that so far it's been reliable and fairly accurate.
I'm going to stop by his place tonight on the way home from work and shoot it. I'll know more tomorrow :)

Ran about 50 rounds through one last night. Had a couple stovepipe's but other than that it was pretty decent. At around 25 yards we were hitting anything we wanted under rapid fire, destroyed an old lawnmower, a filing cabinet, a battery charger and an old stove buddy had in his scrap pile. Not sure if the KCI magazine had anything to do with the FTE's but it was easy to clear and continue.
Has a very strange feeling 2-stage trigger but I got used to it fairly quickly. I think the trigger should be a little further away as the reach to the it seemed too short.

Not sure I would pay $900 for one but it is definitely a more solid rifle than the Sub2000 I used to own. I would like to see the barrel nut thingy replaced with something that created a longer floating forend. It would make it more comfortable to shoot and also look a lot better.
