Actually they short d1cked the spot welds from the looks of it, Not enough penetration, easy fix assuming you know a welder.

I was wondering about the striker fired vs hammer fired question? I may have a striker fired Soumi. The manufacturer now recommends hammer fired units. I am curious about converting the one I have to hammer fired. Other people may be interested too.

Have you never disassembled it? Pretty easy to tell with the bolt out...

i could be wrong but i think the striker fired version was discontinued before canada started getting any.

i had a suomi that had a super lose barrel so i brought it back... looking at the price increase of these, i wish i shimmed the barrel instead of returning it.
