Bear season opens today!!!!!
I have quite a few bears hanging around my area. 1 real nice one and several smaller ones. I would like to take the big one but my time isnt as plentiful this year as I had hoped so I think I will be taking the first boar I get a shot at.
What are taxidermist charging these days for a bear rug??? I assume they charge by the foot. I have heard anywhere from $75 per foot to $180 per foot.
Lets say I manage to get one of the smaller bears and I dont think the hide is nice enough or big enough to put the money into a rug, what would you do with the hide??? I dont like the look of shoulder mounted bears so that is out. Are there anymore options for preserving the hide???
