TO Insert a cartridge or not....?

Bassman will probably draw fire from the good ole' boys, so I will stand up and be counted... because I agree with him. This is not a home den or man cave or wilderness campfire... it is a public forum with many female members... I have daughters that age... while I can't be on a "high horse" as my humour can get "out there," probably more than the next guy, on this forum the "comments about" and "objectification of" the young woman pictured are not appropriate or in good taste... and IMO are not prudent.

I can see both sides of my head coin..... get a group of women together, add a bottle of wine and a picture or reference to a "stud" into the equation and it would make this thread look like a Sunday school sermon..... of course, someone always has to take it too far.....

Maybe some chick shouldn't be showing her ass and posing in such a manner with the clear stated theme of the add. Clearly no self-respect ... and for money.
Sorry Sir but that is the definition of a whore.

What would her Mother think ?

Bottom line is I actually agree with you. But if a whore is gonna whore .. than maybe she deserves some ridicule ya know ?

And P.S. ..

I'm offended that your offended.

Gentlemen...........I do not believe the young lady in question is a member of the oldest profession, she is obviously a professional model. Also no one here is being overtly ###ist, the humor is in the double entendre and the firearm and hunting parallel witticisms. I don't see anyone here demeaning the young lady, objectifying definitely, but then that is where the humor lays, speaking as though she were a firearm to mask the ###ual innuendo.........I see no harm in a little word play regarding a magazine commercial, and I'm sure her father is very proud of her. It would be entirely different if it were a photo of a young lady hunter posted on here and these comments were being made.........that would be very inappropriate. However that commercial photo and caption were set up specifically to promote and invite ###ual innuendo. I'm absolutely certain the young lady knew exactly what the photo was for and was very well paid for it.
Gentlemen, ###ual attraction and ### is a normal and natural part of everyone's life, it is neither dirty nor forbidden and I for one would like to find out who created this stigma around speaking of it or referring to it and wring their f**king neck........

Well said sir. Not likely anyone here is a monk that has taken a vow of abstinence, and every man with blood flowing through his veins has had thoughts that reflect what was written here. Pretty lady baring her nice a$$ for some ca$h, better be ready to have it looked at and commented on.

You're just so darn eloquent....... :) and I agree 100%.

Yeah the "locker room talk" can get out of hand quite quickly. And we all have mothers, sisters, daughters ect but we are not objectifying them. We are poking fun of a faceless half naked model in a very self objectifying position for a car ad... Would the female members on this sight pose for this picture? Are we the guys who took the picture? No. Substitute this model for a middle aged man... now its comedy, not ###ism. This model works hard for her "look" and obviously wants to share it with the world. But it is not prudent for her to be posing in that manner... But...I will agree maybe a public forum isn't the best place to rack up the comments.

Some would do well to learn that free speech and political correctness are two separate entities that do not need to coincide. Need a tutorial just ask.

Yes I have wives and daughters and I am sure they are objectified daily as I see the looks they get. Not going to change a damn thing about me though. I will look at a pretty girl, when the opportunity presents, and not feel the least bit guilty or be forced to rethink my priorities. I am a man not a self proclaimed feminist like someone running things. When someone explains to me how a man can be a feminist(look at the definitions folks) I may reconsider.
I agree, and so does the wife, put a table full of women in a bar, add alcohol, and they are worse than any bunch of guys. Worked doors in bars for years and have first hand experience of this and how the same women sat on the edge of MY bed in the morning calling friends to make up stories of last nights location. That was in the days I had a great deal less scruples.

Even though c-fbmi's words here are eloquent, the ad most certainly is not. It's not tasteful nor subtle.

None the less, I'm not a prude and none of the humour was out of line. At worst it was silly and fun.

I do not believe the woman in the add is a "professional" but the ad is literally one step from ####ography ... which is one step away from being "professional" ... hence why I used the the term whoring for money.

Again, I see nothing offensive about ANY of the silly humour so far. But of course, a righteous prude has got to come along eventually and derail the whole thing.

Now it's a discussion about political correctness and debate of who's worse, men or women. F-all that crap.

Back to the silly jokes.

Wonder if you can put er on lay away ?

Definition of feminist: a person who supports feminism.

Feminism: a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve political, economic, personal, and social rights for women.

I don't see how being a male feminist is a difficult thing to grasp? I don't consider myself a feminist, but I'm certainly all for equality. (So then maybe i am one?)

I once had a very good and highly respected friend of mine, give me a lecture on morality and priorities in life, that completely changed the way I think. I'll give you gentlemen the Readers Digest condensed version and see if it makes as much sense to you as it did to me.
The jist of what he said was, that he would rather have his children watch ####ography than the movies and video games available today, with all the extreme violence and graphic kill scenes and the general depravity and lack of respect for human life. He said these movies/video games might teach them a hundred ways to kill another person where as ####ography might teach them a hundred ways to increase enjoyment and give enjoyment from an activity that we all do for our entire lives almost daily (if we're lucky...my add on). He challenged me to lose my Victorian stigmata and open my mind and tell him where the morality is in movies that think nothing of graphically showing the killing, raping and dismemberment of one or more human beings, but that same morality would ban and censor soft ####ography, which depicts a much more normal and pleasurable human activity.

In the cold light of logic, without the influence of Victorian morality, I had to admit his point was without reproach. It really did change the way I looked at these two points, and I will add that my friend actually lived what he preached, in that he had no dish or cable hooked to his house. He had a TV but it was only connected to a VCR and his kids were encouraged to watch upbeat positive themed movies, play musical instruments, read books and shoot. Not sure about the watching ####, I didn't ask.....he didn't say..........

So therefore I see nothing wrong with the wordplay going on here, none of which is aimed at hurting another human being and is all centered around one of the most pleasurable activities in life..........especially with her !!!!!

I see your point, and it makes sense... but I tend to disagree. Not in the sense that violent video games/movies are worse than ####, but rather that its more about up bringing than the media you consume.

Im almost 30, so i have grown up with video games, many of which are violent (in Mario you crush your enemies or light them on fire!.. GoldenEye on the N64 was one of the best games ever, played hundreds of hours shooting my friends...)as well as violent movies ect and me and my friends all turned out fine because we were taught the difference between sensationalism and the real world.

People turned into murderers and rapists long before the TV existed, and i tend to find attacks on violent media are just an excuse - trying to find a "reason" without addressing the real issues such as broken homes and abusive childhoods.

I made no reference to child upbringing and transference of violent TV to criminality, that is a whole 'nother topic. My reference was strictly the morality of watching death, dismemberment, rape and almost any other type of harm that can be done between one person to another. But then saying soft #### should be banned because it is immoral..........does not compute for me. I find it kinda funny that it is amoral to have consenting ### on TV but it's perfectly OK to rape and kill and behead and dismember and on and on and on.............

All of your mothers, wives, girlfriends and daughters ought to be really proud right about now. Curious what some of them might think if they read this thread. While I love a good laugh as much as anyone, the lack of respect right here in this thread is astounding.

You guys are showing the world that Canadian gun owners might just be exactly what they imagine us to be. Wow.

Can't spell Bassman without Assman.
