to many gophers

She's a twit. She wanted to live capture the problem gophers on campus and relocate them to farmers fields!

Yes, unfortunately intelligence and education seldom have anything to do with each other. But I do appreciate her work as it has helped my gopher shooting success, though I bet she would be horrified to hear that her work led to increased deaths of her beloved subjects.

I know a fellow a bit north of Tompkins SK, I hope to camp out for a few days this summer for some gopher shooting. My only problem is how to develope callouses on my thumb to avoid mag loading blisters

Reminds me of the stupid ideas some dogooders had to get rid of the over population of rabbits in Victoria and Kelowna. One spinny b##ch wanted to fly from Germany humanely capture the rabbits and take them back to Germany with her. We do need some coyotes on the Island.

I have to get out to shoot some squeaks this year. I have a line on a new field near me, I hope it's a good one.i have shot gophers in February, all the way through summer.

A couple years ago we went duck hunting in late september. It was a nice day, and there were gophers everywher. We killed as many as we could, but it wasn't cheap. 160 rounds of steel shot.

never really seen gohpers in potatoe, or grain fields around my area. if i have they have holes right in the ditch next to the road and im not about to shoot towards the road or have a rifle and walking along the road side.

In July 2006, I shot from 1:00 pm 'til & 7:00 pm, then next day from 7:00 am 'til 1:00 pm along a stretch of road (1 mile). I would go to the fence on one side and shoot for a while, walk along, go to the other side, shoot, and so forth. The occasional farmer would cruise by with a grain truck or pickup, blow the horn, wave and carry on. The second day, one farmer who owned the land on one side came out to visit. His brother had "guided" me to this spot. I have never seen such a mess as what the gophers had created. The fellow told me he had started shooting in March, every evening until it got too dark. Unbelievable until you see it for yourself.
