To much meat in the freezer

It isn't very likely that we will get the chance at any mammoth, but if I had been their, I think I would have risked it.

I also recall reading in the 1980s of archaeologists in Egypt finding buried tins of British bully beef from WWII, and they said they sampled them with no ill effects. It probably tasted no different from when it was issued.

rig, gracias for the wonderful recipe. I will try it out soon, since your Italian recipe makes me hungry !

Was out hunting and got the second deer of the season yesterday. Had to work hard for several hour for this one, since the open season for "any mule buck" have been open since Octorber 1st, and ends today, and this particular area has been, well hunted over.

Did lots of stalking and glassing, as well as using the wind and sun in my favor, before finding this fine two pointer in a herd of thirteen deer, an hour before dark.

The ground was also nice and soft from earlier rain and thus made it easier for me to walk and crawl quite. Also had time to measure the distance with my laser range meter before shooting it with my scoped and fiber glassed stocked Garand at 133 yards. The clip-on bipods resting on a rock assured a good hit, although a killing shot in the neck was required.

I was using 165 grain "Failsafe" in front of 58 grain of IMR 4350 in my, after marked, gun gas regulated, Garand.

To get more use of my meat in the freezer, I am turning more of it to european wieners, salami and farmers sausages.

To have vacum packed game meat in freezer, is like having money in the bank :)

burnt03, we are pretty close, might see you at the Summerland gun range sometime. Lots of deer and hunters around here, however, a good use of your legs, beats anyone hunting from car or fourtrax, anytime, good luck :)

It was sick how many people were up there last night :(

I try to spend as much time hoofing it as I can but it depends on who I'm riding with (don't have anything to get me up into the bush right now)
