I see Remington 870 wing masters listed for sale with the caption to nice to hunt hunt with
Sometimes I buy wingmasters and model 12's because I don't want to take my nice shotguns out in adverse conditions
It's all a matter of perspective I guess

Wingmasters are the best pump gun ever simple designs the higher grade guns TB TC grade and a few other grades had some of the nicest wood ever seen on any type of shotgun

Too nice to hunt with is silly. It's not too nice it's you don't trust your self to not destroy the thing while walking around.

And a wingmaster aren't they just cheap pumps. What type of stock would it need before not taking it out. A 10k Turkish walnut blank carved by Chris?

Agree, that as far as I'm concerned. Any gun nice enough to buy, is nice enough to hunt with...
- Than again, I've been know to buy a similar-less-nice gun... to take out hunting on those less nice days :sneaky:

Nothing is " too nice to hunt with" as far as I am concerned!
I buy nice guns with the full intention of hunting with them, if I don't hunt them I sell them , regardless of how nice they look!

I always think this "too nice to hunt with" is kinda funny.

Some of the same guys fussing over a potential scratch on their gun think nothing of driving their $60,000 plus truck or SUV off road.

Shotguns are meant to be used. An infinitesimally small number are created to be works of art, like those of Peter Nelson or the Parker Invincibles. The vast majority, even ones that cost over $150,000 today, were made by gunmakers who expected them to be hunted. I have some nice guns......they all get hunted. Some I choose which day and style of hunting i will subject them to but they all go.
