To sell or not to sell.......

It doesn't look like anything special to me.I'd just sell it.

If it *is* special to you, then go wit Ricks advice...

What if I rebarreled it to your 375 Ruger Clark?:p
Nah, it still wouldn't fit the bill for you. I know all about your love affair for synthetics.;)

Thanks for your input tho!
If I found the right Oberndorf mauser or Brno with the claw mounted scope I could trade it off and never loose sleep over it.
I've been toying with the idea of selling this one to have coin ready for such an occasion instead of the panic mode like in the past.

.

I think if you rebarreled to 375 Ruger the steel buttplate might give you a bit of a whack.:)

It's not just the stock that doesn't appeal to me. ;)

As said, if it's special *to you* then keep it. It doens't matter if the rest of us liek it or not...:p

Noel, You didn't go out and buy that ZKK-602 in 378 Weatherby that's on the Trade EX site did you?

That is too much of a good thing for this guy!
New stuff doesn't turn my crank, nor does recoil induced headaches!:p

I haven't made any purchases YET. There is a tentative one coming up but I haven't seen the merchandise.;)

Are you nuts?

It's beautiful, classy, elegant....you obviously love it....I'm assuming you use it, rather than just taking it out of the safe for fondling....and you want to sell it?

If you don't start regretting it even before you deposit the cheque I'll be amazed.

Beauty rifle man. No doubt. Still that nagging negative might be your subconscious putting stuff together you are not yet sure of. Besides, maybe the universe is setting you up to be ready for that PERFECT rifle that is exactly what you want/need/hafta have. Then theres the joy of the hunt too eh? Luck favors the prepared. For me if Im thinking of parting with something theres a reason but I might not be aware of it yet.Sometimes I end up with sometining WAY better so follow your feelings. Looks like you wont have trouble offloading. Good luck with your decision-tough as it is.

That gun is like a fine wine Noel it gets better with age also everytime you look at it it brings back the memories of a particular place person or animal you harvest. I say keep it the rifle is a beauty especially because its a 7x57 hard to come buy but also sentimental value GOOD LUCK with your decision

Haven't you seen my sig line?:p

It is a nice rifle, but some may not be aware of what I might replace it with! My rule is never downgrade, always better.

Just for the record this rifle is NOT a 7x57 or it might just stick around. It is a 6mm Remington.
Not much recoil, not fussy on loads to do MOA and easy on the eyes. :)
When you go in the mountains it is nice to have a bit more clout. This one has so far been reserved for my wife's Antelope, and two Deer. The easy on the gun hunts.

Looks like a keeper to me ... and not so easy to replace.

The .257 Bob or a Bob/Imp would be a nice conversion option,
so would 6.5 x55 or .260 Rem (I assume you've already have a 7X57 )

Get a second job if you're cash strapped ... if you've already got one,
then get the wife one. :D

Ahem.........

There are "keepers" and there are "keepers." I just sold one of my "keepers" yesterday and yes I will for sure regret it from time to time.

WHEN you sell that rifle Noel, it will probably be to somebody here on Gun Nutz. IF you pine for it, you will probably get a chance to buy it back in a year or so. I have owned a number of rifles three times each. I have yet to own one four times, but it will happen.

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back, it's yours. :bigHug: If not, it never was..........

Thanks guys. Doug it is funny you mention that. I ended up with that Browning high power you sold awhile back. I sold it to a co-worker with never even firing it! It is a gem, but just didn't fit the bill. When he saw pics of this one he simply Has to have it for taking back to Oz with him when his work visa is up. We will see. Most of the sentiment for me is this is the rifle Christy got her `lope with, her first game animal. I am very blessed to say I still have Her by my side, the gun well................

Chances are there will be a Browning on the EE very soon to pay for a Greybrook Custom! LOL

Are you waiting for me to make a REAL offer??? Well it ain't going to happen here(where there's witnesses).

Personaly Noel, if I were you; I would simply invest in a larger safe. They've had that big sucker down @ CT for the last three years and I would bet the manager is open to offers. Then re-chamber that rig in 6.5x55.
