Hee Hee… nope (well kinda). The Nimrod remains untouched as of yet. I am cleaning up that 1934 Sauer I picked up last summer. Barrels have been rust blued and forcing cones lengthened. Just re-cut the checkering and refinishing the stock while I wait for the chokes to be opened up. It will be stored assembled with hammers forward.

I too picked up a pre war Sauer last summer. A sidelock from the 1900-1914 era we think. Beautiful gun but needs some serious stock work. I think most of those pre war Sauers are completely undervalued given their build quality. They get tagged with the post war reputation.

Nah, just two pipes. But Brian, it's a beauty. 28" barrel 12 gauge coming in at 6 pounds 4 ounces. The daintiest little action you ever saw. Feels like you are holding a 20 gauge. No duck gun but competitive with a whole bunch of 16's.

I can well imagine it is a dandy little gun. I find myself gravitating more toward German guns.
You and me both, as time wears on.
Having a sxs 12ga that weighed 6lbs 3oz according to londonshooters scale i can attest to how fast they can handle. My arizaga likely isnt half the quality of your gun but its sure hell on pheasants crows and bunnies
I sold one a couple years ago...an English Army & Navy Boxlock made by Webley in the early 1890's....lovely gun at 6 pounds 4 ounce with 28" barrels but it was black powdered proofed and the stock was too short. If the barrels had been nitro proofed I probably would have popped for a new stock at some point. Or a seriously well done leather covered pad that brought it out to over 14". However, we can't get to every project gun.... lol.
