...my wife found these while working in our storage locker. There are a total of 2 mags for the 1600/r and 4 without the prosthetic attachement. All are 15 round magazines.

The good news is these have been found. The bad news is they were stored next to some tools that was severely rusted. The tools were laying across the magazines, so some rust was transfered.

I havent seen them yet, but I'll be at my locker this weekend. Hopefully this is just surface rust that I can clean off with some wet/dry paper. If they are a lost cause, or marginal, I post here (with pictures if I can)

Here they are....finally

I'm working on cleaning these up. The worst one is coming clean with not too much pitting. Using 600 grit wet/dry on it with oil.

As far as I can tell, there's no rust inside...but no shortage of powder residue. The springs seem fairly strong, but I dont have any .22 ammo to load them. I might go to Cdn. Tire and get some, but I made a promise to stay out of there, for at least one week :)

Are theses mags for the squires birgham M16 ? I dont realy care about rust if it could be remove and stil works good.

Yes, the Squires/Bingham (sp) was one of the models that used these. There's one in Lever arms that I was quasi-interested in. It looks to be in mint shape, but I'd want to see the sear & bolt out of the rifle before making an offer. They want $180 for it, which is more than what they were worth new, so I'll probably save my money and buy a SS 10/22 like everyone else :)
