To Wing or not Wing Ghost Ring sights?

I'm looking at picking up a set of XS Ghost rings for my marlin 1895. There is a big price difference from winged to non-winged aperature rights (30 bucks)

Are they fragile? Is it worth the extra money for the winged?

By no means are they fragile, but dropping the rifle and having the GR strike a hard object might damage it, or knock it out of alignment.

I'd go winged every time. I also prefer a hooded front sight, for the same reason.
