If I were you, I would borrow a magnettospeed or Lab Radar for a velocity test. Find the node. Skip the ladder test.
Then I would do a OCW test around your findings.
Then when you get it narrowed down I would do a OSD test to finish it off. (optimal seating depth test)
I only use a shooting chrony, It usually works well and matches a Lab Radar when I do a velocity check, however it has acted weird on occasion, usually when its a mix of sun and cloud.
My 270 hates H4831, loves RL22. My 6.5 CM loves H4350, never needed to try anything else.
Edit: Maybe you should go over that rifle and scope first, something could be wonky.
