This is probably better here than the reloading section:

1)What are the actual bullet diameters of each of these pistols? Are the bullets in any way interchangeable?

2)How about if you're firing .32 S&W Long in the Nagant?

3)Is there a reloading mould for either caliber, or perhaps one that would do both?

Thanks;
Scott

I just picked up a nagant and the bore slugged .307". So I am going to try some 85 gr. .308 bullets. I cannot find any 7.62x38r brass or surpluss ammo so going to try some 32/20 brass sized in a .30 carbine die. Will post results when in. There is pages and pages of talk on reloading this cartridge on the US. sites.

Tokarev TT-33 has 7.62x25 a lots of ammo. For examp http://www.leverarms.com/ $295 for 2280 case.

Nagant Model 1895 has 7.62 cal. very rare ammo.

Good luck.

Thanks all, yea I've been doing research, and just casting out lines on the most forums.

Info I've got so far suggests the Lee 100gr mould ought to work for both the Nagant and the Tokarev.

Muzle Flash isn't that awful tight? When you say you slugged the bore that means .307 is the distance between the lands or the grooves?

P.S.

Here are some good Nagant threads:

I pounded a soft lead bullet .309" through the bore and bullet came out .307".
you will see guys using .314" slugs in there guns wth apparently no problems.

Russian military weapons can vary a great deal as you may have already noticed....I have seen .307 to .311
For years I have loaded the Hornady 1/2 jacket (M-1 carbine) .308 100grs bullets in firearms with bores from .307 to .308, works great.
Also use the same bullets in my many .32 S&W colts and Smiths, pleasant and accurate.
As well you may want to try our Frontier 110grs in any .32SW long revolver in good shape.... You can really "push" these....
