Yup I agree. Here is mine, looks cool, but took hours of hand fitting and the difference in recoil is more a result
of the extra weight than the compensator vents. The extended mag base plates on the other hand are fantastic!

Muzzle devices are only effective when they are mounted to the barrel itself. The way these pistols are designed its really not practical. Once you learn to shoot tokarev properly, you will be impressed with simplicity and accuracy of these pistols. Added bonus will be that your other pistols will be more plesant to shoot and may be more accurate too.

Mine dropped right in, no fitting, and good fit. Opperational difference - none really noticed. I affectionately refer to it as "the anteater" now.

Sorry guys, that looks awful. Ruins the look of a compact pistol. By admissions here, it does nothing - so why buy this???
^ Mag plates look like they'd benefit the grip comfort and control, for sure. Tiny grip for my large hands, one of the many reasons why I disliked the Tokarev, might have liked it more if I had the pinky extension.
