Tokarev magzines ? Help

Just trying to figure out which mags will fit in my Norc NP-17. Does anyone know if this thing is an exact copy can I use any 9mm Tokarev mag or can I only use the Norc mags?

Should be able to use any mag.I have a Hungarian Tok and a Chinese Tok and i swich up the mags all the time.

Are they the 7.62x25mm or 9mm? Is the chinese one a Norinco? If so what model? I heard so many things about spacers and crap I'm just confused.

The 7.62x25 mag is the same as the 9mm mag.Yes its a Norinco model 54-1.I think

Since 9 mm is shorter, there is a buffer in the mag at the rear side.

i got one of the "convertible ' toks from lever a while back( both 9mm and 7.62) and there IS NO DIFFERENCE in the mags- only the dedicated 9mms have the spacer/buffer/whatever

I guess mine is a dedicated 9mm then cuz it isn't convertible.

The outside dimesions are identical on the magazines so both calibers can be loaded in the same magazine. If you have a spacer in your magazine well, well that is a different kettle of fish altogether. A picture would have helped.

My mistake. You have purchased the dedicated 9mm "improved" pistol. However the good news is that if there is a spacer in the magwell it can be easily removed. You can then shoot 7.62x25 ammuniton when you change the barrel( I think).

Thanks again for the help guys, I finally found a bunch of mags that fit my gun at leverarms.
