Tokarev SVT 40

Where does one p/u a scope mount? Not interested in OEM, repro will do just fine. I plan on taking mine deer hunting this fall.
Numrich have repro sniper mount and repro scope are available at Westrifle. Keep in mind that if your SVT dont have the sniper notch at the rear, you will have to lock the repro mount with set screws. Scoping a SVT,even with repro stuff is not cheap so keep that in mind.:)

Tks for the info.

manuals

I shot a spring across the room the first time I took it apart. For some reason I thought what was one piece, turned out to be three. A manual is good to have in front of you for the first time taking it apart.

Hey fiddler,
Where do I find a manual for the SVT?

Thanks!

Unbelievable what our cousins in the US and A are paying for these beauties/beasties... easily $700 or more.

Not really good compensation for the high cost of many US guns/parts here, but still.

Good to see that it's not just unfair for us.

Back to beginning...
Disassemble.
I just receive another SVT rifle for my collection and when I take it apart for cleaning
I found out that there is no way to remove trigger group using standard procedure.
Locking latch moves only about two millimeters and that's it-nothing happens.
I try to move it several times thinking something gets stuck,I even try to punch it with brass punch and hammer...no luck
Do anyone knows the trick??

Do you have the cover at the rear of the receiver at the 9 o'clock position as shown in the photos above? I'm pretty sure it has to be place like that in order for the trigger group to release when you depress the release mechanism... I seem to recall having that problem the first time I stripped my first one down.

Yes the little cover must be at the 9 o'clock position. The cover can turn to the 3 o'clock position but the trigger group will not release. The catch need to move like 2 mm and the trigger group will pop out.

I had a problem with mine the first time I took it apart. Even though the little cover was at 9 the release would not budge. Try pushing that little cover in or pulling it out. It might only move a hair, but once it did, the trig release worked like butter

Nice rifles, but I can't seem to get my bolt completely apart, I can't get the ejector off. Any ideas?
The idea is to depress the plunger and push back the extractor a bit to unlock it,you will need a small blunt object and patience in some case.....
