Tokarev TT-33 ordered from Kelly's Sporting Goods

You probably won't hear anything about it until you receive it. It will work out and you will have it soon.
It comes in a big envelope with a nice new Plano pistol case inside.

Ok thank though they was doing a status tracking like SRFC or many other.

But tell me how do a plastic case fit into an envelope o_O..

Mine arrived today. I took out out of the case to safety check and have a look. Let's say it was not Glock Perfection!

The slide release fell to the floor first. I gently pushed the slide forward and the spring popped out. Next, the trigger group popped out and fell to the floor in pieces (luckily - I had just cleaned up my office). Apparently, the slide stop retainer clip on the right was not pushed into place... Does anyone know of a detailed video on re-assembly?

The condition is as expected - new. Up on the EE it goes...

Did you talk to the guys at Kelly's?

You just have to align the slide stop retaining pin into the moving part hole of the barrel., it felt apart because it was not inside this moving hole part, same has a 1911

Gun in your left hand, aiming in your Palm, thumb under spring, middle finger in the trigger guard, just push a little bit to align the moving part hole of barrel, insert the retaining slide stopper

I have not talked to Kelly's - but the reason for selling is really the fact that I cannot stand something that is so complicated and apparently fragile.

It is my fault for not watching a TT33 tear down video first (I did this a couple of years ago and it has so far steered me away from 1911's). Before everyone flames me - I am sure 1911's are very nice and accurate (my Dad used one in WWII and I remember him swearing by them). I just can't be bothered to tinker.

My guess is there is nothing wrong with your pistol... My guess is that they took the pistol apart to check that the frame, slide & BARREL match... They then didn't get the retaining clip back into the proper postion, ie clipped onto the cross pin that goes through the receiver...

If you youtube T33 Tokarov, lots of video's show it's disassembly & reassembly.

Cheers
Jay

Irelevante, Tokarev are not complicated, so simple, and because there are apart easily, they are easy to clean, this is not a fragile gun....it made the warClean it oil it and wait 20 years before sell

By the way, the design of a Tokarev is extremely similar to a 1911, ...trigger kit in extra and no safety  has a major différence..at least try it, very fun to shoot 

I got my TT-33 from Kelly's a few days back (Very nice guy by the way). It is brand new and nice. The magazine doesn't match the rest and has problems accepting the first round! Is this normal?

Shot around 100 rounds through it already and cleaned it twice!, including the magazine and the firing pin housing. The gun is not as smooth as my refurbed 1943 Russian, but I contribute it to it being brand new. Just as inaccurate as my Russian. :) I have decided I am keeping my old Ruski. ;)

Magazine match is something rare, apparently there is some in Kelly's Toks, I whish I could have one....

The problem accepting the first round might comes from the magazine, I would suggest to either put hands on other magazine, or try to find the way the action goes with the first round, is the upper frame of your magazine can be just resize in less larger.....or change the way of the spring inside the magazine.....(I have one magazine that when you remove it from the gun, the empty slide just shot down....well, that the way it works, and it works very welll)

100 rounds without any jams ? inaccuraccy..... let me guess, your Tok is shooting 5'' to the left of the bulleye ?

Do you mean accepting the first round you push into the magazine when charging it, or the pistol accepting the first round into the chamber from a full magazine?

Both would probably be due to a stiff mag. spring, but I have only experienced the second problem myself. If it's the same I encountered, you might have to treat it as a 7-round mag. until it loosens up.
