Hey Tazik can you show or explain how to take out the mag release system? I have trouble taking mags out, have to push the button really hard and pull mag out at the same time. My thumb is sore after a few times. I think that may by the mag catch needs a little grinding.

Hard to release the Mag even with closed slide ?
Remove grils and the trigger, push the release button to see if the catch let free Space for releasing the Mag, it should be flush with the inside frame.
Another possibility : Check the trigger frame, is it bent inside? If yes make it at least parrallel.

I watched this video on youtube today...had no idea it was yours until I saw read your post,...great job and thank you! You pointed out two important tips that other Tokarev videos seem to leave out. First, you used a popsicle stick to remove the retaining clip...very clever...most people use the magazine base or screwdriver which can scratch if they slip. Second, you pointed out lining up the barrel catch hole with the retaining pin, which I myself didn't do when I reassembled the slide to the frame,resulting in a locked slide. I've watched every Tok video on youtube to familiarize myself with this firearm even before I received my Tokarev from Kellys.... this is by far the best
