Tokarev TT33 in stock? Where?

I got the 39, they are both in the mail now. I should have them on Monday.

Frontier told me the 39 was really nice? What did you think?

They were all very similar in function and finish, so nothing jumped out at me other than the different dates. The 39 stuck in my head due to WW2, as did the 1946 dated one. I was just razzin' you guys cause I checked them all out in person.:p

I have the perfect solution for you my friend! You want a Tokarev? Buy it and shoot it in 7,62x25. You want a chinese gun called M213? Buy it and shoot 9mm with it.
 
I got a 42 about a month ago from Frontier. Nice looking gun, though the grip was cracked in half. I sent it back and Marlin replaced the grip - it's in the mail on it's way back right now. Great service!
Anyone know where to get a hold of some cheap surplus ammo? PM please?

Wow! Canada post said I would get the gun by the 27 feb, I got it this morning! 1943 Tula Arsenal refinished, from Frontier.

Unlike a LOT of people, I find the grip and handling very good!
Overall, I didn't shoot it yet, but I am more pleased with it then what I was expecting, really!

It's packed in grease, and smells exactly like my uncles's 1956 Romanian tractor :D

"canadaammo.com" has the chinese copy for $99. this is almost $100 cheaper than marstar...are they the same?? or is the marstar one better in some way??
 
The Norinco one on marstar fires 7.62x25mm while the $99 Canadaammo one fires 9x19mm. Thats the only difference I can tell between them
 
i don't know about marstar, but the one i got fires both 7.62 and 9mm with a simple barrel change- from the PICTURE on the canada ammo site, you can tell the 213 is 9mm ONLY, as the magazine should extend almost to the backstrap, but does not- it's a little shorter- this is the "9mm improvement" which involves putting a spacer in the frame and using a shorter magazine-i've never had a problem with the 9mm in the 7.62 mag, but apparently there must be some foundation for going to the shorter mag - but i do the old tappy tappy to all my mags anyway- force of habit

The norinco is built better than the russian. The russian is a nice novelty and will probably last a lifetime but the norinco has forged and milled parts where as the russian is cast.


The one at marstar looks everything like the russian other than color, and the serations on the rear of the slide.

Yah and other than that, it is NOT A TOKAREV TT-33, so there's no comparaison to make between something built in WW2 era and a 100$ chinese keyring. PLEASE stop the :bsFlag: this is a Russian TT33 thread.

In case somebody is still looking for a Tok. tt33, as of yesterday, Ellwood Epps had 3 Russians in stock, ranging in price from $189 to $249. They had 4 before I got there! :D

Apparently, same guns, different holsters (original or not). I looked at them. Some bluing handling marks, but all in very good condition. Nice guns, great vendor. If you really want one, nail it.

Eh.. You're right :)

I assumed that you were referring to the build quality, but I was wrong. As a piece of history the norinco does not compare at all! I agree.
 
I own both the Norinco copy (M213, 9mm) and an original Tokarev (1943). I would never trust my life to the Norc. While the Tokarev is very well built, it is in a totally different class.

The Tok being a milsurp though, I wouldn't modify it in any way. While the Norc is a toy that requires, that is begging for, tinkering.

Received my pair of Tokarev's. One is a 1945 dated example. The interesting one is the 1937 dated with a very cool purple blueing to the slide. It is all numbers matching. Anyone seen this before?
