Tokarev TT33 / TT-33 hammer housing cracked

Curious if anyone can offer insight as to how this happens.

Purchased in 2013 and this is the second time this has happened where the hammer housing splits in approximately the same spot. I have always used surplus corrosive 7.62x25 ammo for which i bought a crate at the same time. I couldnt tell you how many rounds i have put through or how often i bring it to the range as i didnt keep track of that.

Next question is where i can get a replacement hammer housing - i have an idea or 2 but figured i would ask in case someone else knows more. It is not ideal for me to purchase a parts gun just FYI.

I do have a cracked hammer on my Norkarev. Maybe it is a high stress system.

I did check them out and didnt see any.

Try Trade Ex, they have some frames and what not. look at the banners above, bottom row right.
I was at the range and watched a T33 run, he was getting a terrible pattern with it, but he is not use to it
last round in 1st mag was HOT, loud and more flame, 2 nd mag , sound was the same.
Another fellow shoot it and pattern was O.K.
Some of that ammo is very inconsistent, Hot round on a high pressure round could put a lot of stress on rear of the frame, drive the hammer too hard, maybe?

I did end up going with trade ex.

The ammo i use currently is corrosive and probably runs hot and high pressure i would imagine.
