Anyone know why my hammer follows the slide back after firing sometimes. I think it goes to the safety position so it wont auto fire.

Something is broken, worn, or not fitted properly in there. Don’t shoot it in this condition, get it fixed. That half #### safety shouldn’t be relied upon to prevent it from going full auto (the next step when the damage/issue gets worse).

Check if the sear and its leaf spring are installed correctly.
