Tokarev

I bought Tokgypt fat grips on Ebay for $29. Gun feels much better in the hand.

Factory grips are good for people with smaller hands. My 8 year old grandson can hold it easily.

Damn I never thought about checking ebay for them. You can get original tokagypt grips for cheap! I think you just sold me on a Tokarev my friend... lol

Be aware that it can be a real hunt if you need parts for it. Took me months to track down the proper firing pin when mine let go at ~1600 rounds. The disconnector broke on my brother's Polish one a month or so ago and I've yet to locate one (or preferably 3).

There is a fair bit of shear stress on that firing pin, with it dragging over to the very edge of the primer pocket. I wouldn't be surprised if most fail as the round count gets up there.

In the end I don't think they're viable as a long term joymaker. I'll be getting rid of mine once I burn off my 2 crates of ammo.

Have you checked with TradeEx?

Just got one in the mail Tuesday morning. It's my first restricted and can't wait for that bugger of an ATT to come in so I can scoot off to the range and test out my hand loads. Find the pistol fits me fairly nice and points well enough but would be nice if the grip were a touch longer, just so I wouldn't have to worry about getting bit by the hammer.
