For the guys who ordered a M213 pistol from CanAM here is a Firebird Tokorev with the safety removed. It looks like you would need the wrap around grips for the hole to be hidden.

I just ordered one of the CanAM tok's so I have no experience with these. Why are people so concerned with removing the safety?

Most original issued Toks did not have safeties, only a few nations included them. The one on my 54-1 is a PITA due to it's wanting to engage while firing due to it's position.
I'll remove mine when I get around to that project.

The safety was an add-on required for importation into the US, back when they could be imported. The afterthought design leaves a lot to be desired from the ergonomic and safety aspect. The one on my Tokarev clone pistol was unreliable as a safety. Apply the safety, pull the triger, and the hammer might fall. That's much less safe than using the original half #### designed into the system.
