I inherited an old .22 "tom mix special" was my grandfathers at one time.
What can you tell me about them, got pics? Mine was refinished many years ago by some dumb kid(me).lol, wondering what ot is suposed to look like, rarity/ historyn age etc

Cool, all I remember about tom mix was jed clampit talking about him! Lol!
Mine is pretty rough, I shot countless squirrels and grouse with it as a kid, gramps had the rear sight silver solderd on, and a match stick under it for elevation
Ihave thought about restoring it to better more original form, the stock I refinished as a kid it is way to light and coverd with runs
There is very little if any bluing left....
What do you think?

Tough call on that...
I'm torn between leaving it as-is, due to your memories of it and fixing it up to give it new life.
No harm either way.
I rmember Tom Mix from movie posters my father had bought when I was a kid. He got them from a theatre that was being torn down. They were in the walls.
