Did someone try the Tomahawk 1200 semi-auto shotgun who is sell on Marstar website ??

Did Turkish shotguns are well made ?

If you tried it let me know your impression.

Marstar provides cheap firearms to people who only like the look of the gun/rifle, not the quality of materials used. They fool you into thinking your getting a quality firearm. How do they do this? Price ofcourse, we are suckers when it comes to thinking we're gettin a god deal. That coupled with there 1 year warranty is enough to rip off many canadians. The guns are probly designed to last only about a year anyway. Imagine how much they paid for this "tomahawk shotgun". Maybe around $150 brand new! common people..............These guys are sitting on a beach somewhere gettin rich of you guys, with benelli's and beretta's in the safe.

Think you have a good point ... maybe because I'm not really a china kind firearms supporters. ;)
 
I like the idea of affordable quality firearms.

Marstar was the first to bring the price down on the M305 - are the more expensive vendors selling better Norinco M305's?

Marstar is bringing in new products for Canadians all the time at a reasonable price. They don't need to be slammed for doing so.

When so many people are ignorant to firearms owners already why do we need to be so ignorant to each other and our vendors? Are we so self destructive?

Being critical of vendors, in a constructive manor, is what we should be aiming for.

Spreading rumors on fiction and ignorance is not helping anyone (read: Liberal); If you've got some experience with the gun in question then please tell us about your insufferable experience and how Marstar told you to "pound sand" when you tried to claim a repair/ refund.

If its the price of the shotgun that makes you skeptical I'm sure Marstar could offer you one at triple the price so that you may acquire a "quality firearm."

Marstra fully supports everything sold through our firm, name another company in Canada that does that....

I had a "Kral" Turkish shotgun from Marstar. The only problem I had was aftermarket accessories didn't fit. As far as quality..you get what you pay for. The synthetic stock was a little cheaper etc, but the gun functioned fine, came with chokes too. I would have kept it if I had the extra cash to purchase the next gun. I sold it to a friend who cares more for function than looks, and he loves it. Still works fine.

Ummm, nope, they actually stand by that. I've returned two different firearms to them over issues I had with them, and they refunded me my money both times without giving me any significant hassle. I did have some significant issues with the guns, mind you, but still - I know of ZERO other companies in Canada that will do that for a firearm that's been to the range a few times; wouldn't matter if it broke in half, you're stuck with the OEM in all cases I'm aware of.

While in the end, I may not have liked the guns in question (no more Norinco anything for me!), the guys over at Marstar have always taken good care of me. I'd deal with them again anytime (which is more than I can say for most of the vendors in Canada I've dealt with over the years).

It is not a clone of another gun, it is an original gun, so accessories from another would not fit.

My buddys who handled the Kral O/U and were very surprised by the quality thought it to be a 1200-1500$ gun not the killer deal $500.
 
Just my opinion guys. No harm intended. Just thinking in my own crazy way. But lets say your lost, forced to confront 3 grizzly bears by yourself, in the winter. And even if you live through this encounter you know you need to survive for days even weeks in this wilerness. Behind you 4 semi auto shotguns lay on the muddy, frozen ground. Say 10 shells in your pocket. Your knowledgeable about shotguns and can discern between each quickly. If you can only choose one for this campaign, what would you pickup? The Tomahawk, the extrema, the SBE, or A5? Just my imagination guys, but hell it gives me the control to save my pennies for quality firearms my life could depend on. Well all firearms can fail but like I said just my opinion. peace

For the record, I wasn't trying to slam Aubie's comment. With few notable exceptions, he's correct and you get what you pay for.

I've found with Chinese goods (and this Kral may follow this rule even though it's not Chinese) the price may be half or 1/3 of what a high quality item might be but the quality will not be anywhere near 50% or 66% worse than that quality item.

If you have a head on your shoulders and are willing to spend a bit of time making a few simple modifications and a bit of money for a few upgraded parts (to replace certain parts that may become evidently prone to failure) you can have an item that is functionally 95% (or more) as good as the brand name item that costs twice or three times as much. Plus you have the added benefit* of having researched and learned a lot about the function and assembly of said item.

This may not be the case with these shotguns, but for the low price it may be worth finding out.

* Note: For some people this is not a benefit, but a pain in the ass. YMMV.
 
Aubie, You can't expect a firearm that cost 200$ new to be the same quality of a 2000$ shotgun.

If you can't afford a 400$ 870, well you either wait of buy a Norinco/chinese.

Many gun are made in China anyway, like Marlin, Remington could make their action there and you wouldn't know. it's all about quality and brand name.

You know Norinco are made and copyed in China, don't like it? don't buy it. Like made in USA? Buy a Winchester! Myself it's all about Quality/Price. I'm not gonna pay 700$+ for a damn shotgun so I bought a Grizzly! Made in China or not.

Iif I get many problem, the dealer will get it back or I'll have the Visa cancel that purchase quite sample when you buy new.
 
Someone just freaking buy the thing and say something factual. Sick of hearing newbs and the usual marstar sucks guys come out and say there part. Here is some news, don't have any factual knowledge to share? Nobody cares what you have to say.
 
I own a Norinco 870 clone and I like it.

I have a chinese SKS and I like it.

I'd buy norinco/chinese/turkish again; no issue there.
 
Hey I struggle to keep my car running with duck tape and rabbit snare so I can buy top quality firearms. Just my opinion remember. I have a Norc m14 that has slept with me lol(miss my C9) but man ,again in a situation, with a LRB m14 or any other proven battle rifles to choose from, I dont think I would take the Norc is all. Oh and I am saving for the LRB m14, almost there. Marstar is awesome in that they offer low cost firearms and treat there customers well. That tomahawk does look mean though!
 
There are alot of Chinese norinco clones on the market to know that if they were crap we would hear about it in this Forum. I tortured the hp9 and no problems. That being said I handled a norinco coach gun that broke before firing it. Quality control. Some slip by.
