I bought one from Hical. I love it, very easy to convert. The wood is really nice.

No, they were originally special order through him. I seem to remember last thread someone asked about these, and Dave at hical said he did have a couple of kits in store, just not on the website. I don't know if he still has them, but he may be able to still order one in if he doesn't.
Brownells has them for $340, I think the maximum Canadian order is now $500, so they should be ok to import.

from what I hear some fitting needs to be done to the drums so they fit the intended gun they are to be used in

What I'd really like for mine is a finned barrel but those aren't easy to find.
Had no luck finding a finned barrel when I was doing my tommy gun. I used a Dlask 12.5" sporter barrel and did a finned sleeve. Saw some of the add-on kits posted here but the version done by some one here in Canada was much nicer so that's the way I went. Machined out an aluminum billet to fit the gun inside. Walnut for the stock came from Windsor plywood.
And that's the way they should be done. The american version is f**king ugly and cheap. Its missing the top cover for the receiver and reminds me of Mr. Burns' bald head. IIRC Fabrice sold the last of the CDN ones for cheap along with the Krinker kits. I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing a couple.

pain to take apart. If you put the screws on 2 tight the firearm doesn't function right. Looks good is built really nice but the screws are the big let down.
I made mine with the straight stock instead and a 10.5 inch barrel that was made for it I didn't want the fins as the war time production rifles never had that and shooting a really full auto one I wanted one. I hate that I can't have a semi auto one or legal have the rifle that the 12.2 holder had he wanted me to have his collection and he had over 30 of them. Every type and make and protypes he really collected tommy guns was neat to see the hellfire versions and the differences most were minor some were major changes.
