Rifle Chamber Insert. "Tones down" your rifle!

If you have a .308, .303 or .30-06., you can make it more "town-friendly" quiet, and practice shoot it for less! With this blued steel Rifle Chamber Insert that converts your gun to shoot .32 ACP rounds.

The gun becomes low recoil and low noise (similar in volume to a magnum air rifle). Great for young shooters, too, to lessen the "flinch factor." Easy-install, weighs just 2 ozs.

I have one that converts my 303 British into 32 acp. Works fine, good accuracy at 25 yards. Slow as single shot and have to "eject" the brass with a dowel or other tool. No issues, but now that I am a reloader it's probably time to sell mine.

I’ve got a similar one that shoots 32 auto in my 30-06, used to use it to shoot chickens. Worked alright for body shots, didn’t shoot well enough for consistent head shots. Haven’t used it in years....

I have had a few chamber inserts, mostly for firing .22 LR and .22 WMR, but they were never accurate enough to get much use.

Had one in 30-06. The first shot at 25 yards was dead center . . . perfect for grouse.
After that the closest to center was 3" to the right and the group was 3". Not impressed.

I have one in 30-06 to 32 ACP, but have not tried it yet. Need to test it this spring ....

My online research indicates that those converters are not very "accurate".

Better accuracy is achieved ... it seems ... with buckshot pellets at the right velocity ...

There is also the Hammond Game Getter that uses 22 blanks and buckshot pellets:

And you can load a mouse fart with buckshot pellets ....

using hammond game getter for years, found it to be very accurate. Slow to reload so I just carry two that are ready to go! Harvested quite a few grouse when backpack hunting.
