too many guns not enough hunting

There are hunters who own guns just to hunt, and there are hunters that are also enthusiastic shooters. The latter group tend to own lots of guns, the former group tend to have a small amount or even only one.
Then there are those of us who desire fewer but better guns. I'd rather have a couple of fitted Perazzis instead of half a dozen Browning Citoris or two Cooper Arms with high-end glass as opposed to six Remington 700s with run-of-the-mill optics.

My gun safe is barely half full but the spots that are taken are with the best quality guns I can afford.:)

Very True, there are two categories of "hunting" gun owners those who are deadly because they only have a few and those who aren't because they aren't interested enough to really care.

I used to buy guns just because they were good deals, now I look hard to find "old friend" type guns, my collection slowly increases and I use everything I own regularly.

I tried that approach a few years ago, selling off dozens of guns and only retaining the nicer ones. IN the end the guns grew back, except they were all more expensive than the ones I sold off.:p

I've done that a couple of times. Sold a bunch, bought a couple nice ones. Bought more nice guns. Sold a bunch of nice ones, bought some even nicer. It's good to be upwardly mobile. :)
